Cross Country Skiing - Cross country skiing can be enjoyed in the woods right outside the cabin or if you prefer groomed trails you can visit Carter's X-Country Ski Center or Sunday River ski resort.
Golf - There are a number of local golf courses including the Point Sebago golf course which is an 18-hole championship course. Situated on 500 acres of spectacular white birch forest, the par 72 course caters to all levels of play.
Course length ranges from a challenging 7,002 yards from the back tee to a forgiving 3,200 yards from the forward tee. Story Land - A kids' theme park in Glen, NH that has entertained young families and children for 60 years. The park has grown to include more rides, more play areas, more shows, and more characters of all kinds.
Oxford Plains Speedway - A 3/8 miles paved oval with short straights and wide, sweeping turns. The speedway plays host to a Saturday night Oxford Championship Series, a Wednesday night Oxford Acceleration Series, a Friday night Go Kart Series and occasional Motor Mayhem events.

Fairs and Festivals - You can visit www.mainefairs.org for more detailed information with dates and locations but a few of the popular area attractions are the: Caco Days, the Fryeburg Fair and the Oxford County Fair. Another popular local event is Pumpkin Land which starts in mid September through Halloween. Pumpkin Land is Maine's largest fall "Agritainment Venue". The theme is pumpkins of course but there are many Halloween themed activities, rides, inflatable bounce houses, wagon rides to the pumpkin patch and much much more for families with small children to enjoy during their visit.
Songo River Queen - The Songo River Queen II is a privately built replica of the famed Mississippi River Paddle Wheelers. The Queen is 93 feet long, 23 feet wide and weighs 100 tons, enabling it to offer and exceptionally smooth ride for even the most timid of passengers. It can accommodate up to 350 passengers and is handicapped accessible. It has two decks including an open upper deck with an attractive red striped canopy for protection from the sun and rain, as well as a fully enclosed lower deck, and there are restrooms on board.
